KAPOW!

You lucky lucky people. Here it is, Chris Duckenfield at Soul Buggin’ recorded LIVE at our last party at The Lofthouse here in Nottingham on 3rd June 2017.

We don’t usually record DJ sets at Soul Buggin’ so you’ve got a rare treat here with this 3 hour mix from one of our favourite guests. In this mix Chris plays music from Kaytranada, The Popular Peoples Front, Moodymann, Frankie Knuckles, Maurice Fulton, Bugz in the Attic, Dego and a hell of a lot more - it’s a pretty hot and sweaty affair (as was the night itself for anyone that was there and lost a few stone dancing!)

Enjoy!

Soul Buggin' LIVE Saturday 3rd June @ The Lofthouse - Residents Warm Up

Soul Buggin’ returned to The Lofthouse last Saturday in Nottingham for another delicious dark room disco. This month we welcomed one of our favourite DJs Chris Duckenfield from Sheffield to come and bring the heat. He laid down a heavy 3 hour set that got The Lofthouse in a right sweaty tizzy but before that long standing Buggin’ residents Beane, Mark A and Elmo threw down some records to get things shuffling along nicely and by the wonders of 21st century technology here is that set. Taking in a bit of everything from The Clark Sisters, Opolopo, Kyle Hall, Ray Mang, Issac hayes, The Black Madonna, Alkalino, Josh Milan and many more we started with an empy room and got it nicely moist for our main guest to take the controls.

Enjoy!

2000 Black Special - Presented by Beane and Elmo

With our Soul Buggin' 12th Birthday party looming large on the horizon (Saturday 19th November at The Lofthouse here in Nottingham) we thought what better time to get inside the record label of 2000 Black which is run by our special guest DJ on the night Dego.

With an extensive back catalogue going back to the late 90's we could've spent hours putting this together but we decided to not get too carried away and only pick 5 records each that give a good flavour of the label. From Dego's work with Kaidi Tatham, Mensah and Matt Lord to killer dancefloor workouts from the likes of Seiji and Domu, hopefully there'll be a few cuts on here that'll tickle you.

Don't forget to grab your tickets for our 12th Birthday here www.tinyurl.com/soulbuggin and we look forward to seeing you on the dancefloor

Peace and love
